Bitcoin and Anonymity

Bitcoin has been largely heralded by many as the “currency of the future.”  But people seem to be stuck arguing two sides of the same argument: some people proffer that bitcoin is great for privacy and freedom because it is anonymous, while others argue that bitcoin offers unprecedented traceability.  The Bitcoin Foundation warns that bitcoin is not anonymous.  Meanwhile, developers like Cody Wilson are creating apps like Dark Wallet which will aim to make the currency and related ...
